One hour before treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the areas to be treated, this will make the procedure comfortable. During the treatment you may feel a little discomfort but this will be minimal.
Treatment itself takes about 30-45 minutes depending on size of area treated.
The area treated may retain heat and show a little swollen for a couple of days following treatment.
You will also notice tiny brown dots (eschars) where the plasma has touched the skin. It is important you do not pick at these, they will eventually fall away.
Full healing can take two weeks, with some people experiencing some redness for an extended time, this is usually temporary.
It is important to wear a high factor SPF during the healing period. We will also give you some healing serum to apply to the area.
